You need to be 17 before you can start learning to drive and have a valid provisional licence before you have your first lesson. Complete a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the DVLA with your passport or birth certificate, and a passport-sized photo.
I will estimate approximately how long it will take you to learn to drive after your first lesson. The current average is 45 hours of tuition (Driving Standards Agency average, 2006), with 22 hours of private practice. Two-hour lessons and supervised practice sessions can help you learn faster.

Standard lesson by the hour. The majority of people book for a 2 hour period. However, JEDI offers a flexible approach and can offer any length of lesson by the half hour if required.
